Ngilngig 2026
The 2026 Ngilngig Asian Fantastic Film Festival Davao is now accepting submissions.
This year’s screenings and activities will take place at The Green House Cinema and Cinematheque Centre, Davao City, Philippines, from October 24-28, 2026.
Eligibility
Short horror and fantastic-genre films are eligible for submission if they meet any of the following criteria:
• Made by an Asian filmmaker,
• shot in Asia, or
• have themes or topics related to Asia.
Films must have a maximum running time of 20 minutes and must be completed between January 2025 and July 2026.
We welcome submissions of feature films with horror and fantasy elements for special screenings in the non-competition section of the Ngilngig Asian Fantastic Film Festival.
Dates & deadlines
• Submission open: May 31, 2026
• Early deadline: June 30, 2026
• Final deadline: July 31, 2026
• Deadline Extended: None
• Notification period: August 2026
• Festival dates: October 24–28, 2026
Entry fee
A submission fee is required per short film:
• ₱555 for entries submitted by the Early Deadline,
• ₱1,500 for entries submitted by the Final Deadline
