This year’s Ngilngig Festival showcases seven full length films from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines.

    Medroso’s debut feature from Davao, returning home after its premiere at the recently concluded Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival
  • Monisme by Riar Rizaldi INDONESIA 2023
    Co-written by the people who live in the foothills of one of the most active stratovolcano in the world, Mount Merapi
  • NITRATE: To the Ghosts of the 75 Lost Philippine Silent Films (1912-1933) by Khavn 2023 PHILIPPINES
    Khavn’s ode to the seemingly lost forever Philippines’ horror silent-film production.
  • This Land of Mine by Feisal Azizuddin MALAYSIA 2024 (World Premiere)
    Azizuddin worked with Filipino VFX artists in this film and now making its world premiere at the Ngilngig Festival
  • DogGod (คนกราบหมา) by Ing K THAILAND 1997/2024
    Banned by the Thai government censors that has lasted for 25 years, this film also echoes our political climate.
  • Salome by Guttierrez Mangansakan II PHILIPPINES 2024
    Mangansakan’s ode to identity, heritage and memory, and pessimism on the future of art.
  • Dreaming and Dying (Hao jiu bu jiang) by Nelson Yeo SINGAPORE/INDONESIA 2023 (Closing Film)
    Yeo’s debut feature which won the Golden Leopard and Swatch First Feature Award at the Locarno International Film Festival
