Ngilngig UN/TAMED
Welcome to the 2024 edition of the Ngilngig Asian Fantastic Film Festival Davao, where we celebrate ngilngig—a common Bisaya expression for the fantastic and the magical, the horrifying and the macabre. This year, our theme “Un/Tamed” emerged naturally from our programming, reflecting the primal instincts and untamed narratives that continues to expand the definitions of ngilngig and Asian cinema. Running from October 26 to 30, 2024, the festival features 34 Philippine shorts, 23 Asian shorts, 2 Festival Talks, 3 Workshops, a school tour, and an art exhibition featuring filmmaker artists. Un/Tamed Ngilngig is a week of film talks, screenings, and special events at Abreeza Ayala Mall Cinema, the Cinematheque Centre Davao, La Herencia Davao Art & Events Pavilion, and the Green House Cinema, Davao City, Southern Philippines.
