Festival Programmers

Maki Cabrera
Makiii is a filmmaker based in Davao City. He has been instrumental in curating thematic film programs for Pasalidahay like “Kagawasan – Stories and Struggles of Pride” and “Children of the Same Sun – Shorts about Peace and its Many Forms”. His first short film, Panabi (The Disturbed) was screened at NgAFFF and Mindanao Film Festival in 2017. His second short, (a)wake (2019), was selected for Binisaya Film Festival 2020 and Cinema Rehiyon 2021.

Anna Miguel Cervantes
Anna Miguel Cervantes (b. 1993, Cagayan de Oro) is a writer, filmmaker, and visual artist whose 14-year background in peace work around Mindanao, Southern Philippines has prompted her to view spaces as sites for intrusion and reconciliation. Her media-based works have screened in the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Cinema Rehiyon, Binisaya, and Chuncheon International Film Festival (KR), and artist-run spaces across the Philippines.

Andro Conde
Andro Conde is a filmmaker, video editor, and VFX artist based in Davao City. His directorial debut, “Kapit-os“ (2016), was showcased at the Popcom Ahyd Film Festival (2016) and Bangladesh Children’s Film Festival (2017). He has also worked as a colorist and VFX artist for “Beneath The Firefly Veil“ (Sinekabataan 2024).

Jay Rosas
Programming Adviser
Jay Rosas is a film programmer, writer, and filmmaker. He co-founded the Davao-based film collective Pasalidahay where his film programming work started, which now extends to regional film festivals in the Philippines. His writing has appeared in several film publications and platforms, most recently in Marg1n and eksentrika. Recently, he was part of the first cohort of the Singapore-based Arts Equator Fellowship, producing content about Philippine regional cinema. In 2019, he made his first film together with Mark Limbaga, the short documentary Budots: The Craze, which earned national acclaim. His professional experience spans 15 years in the field of communication, media, and knowledge management.
