Melona Mascariñas
Melons is a writer from Davao City, Philippines. Her works are published in The Best of Dagmay Anthology 2, Lilinaon: An Anthology of Young Writers, and Voice & Verse Poetry Magazine—Hong Kong. Her collection of poems, Wild Fire, was published by The Road Map Series in 2019. She recently joined the 2024 FDCP x FSG Screenwriting Workshop and is working on her first short film script.

Anj Estrella
Anj Estrella is a Davao-based Production Designer. She actively takes on diverse roles as a Production Designer, Assistant Director, Voice Talent, Art Director and an Actress for film and other various commercial projects. Her recent credits include The Furthest Tree of the Eternal Sun (2024) as Assistant Director, Salome (2024) as Art Director, and Beneath The Firefly Veil as Production Designer. In 2022, she won Best Production Design at the Mindanao Film Festival.

Ralph “Doydoy” Megriño
Doydoy Megriño is involved in various aspects of filmmaking, working as an actor, producer, production manager, writer, and director. He directed Jakol (also known as Clair de Lûlû in “D” Major) and has taken on acting roles in Slip and Beneath the Firefly Veil. His contributions span different roles, reflecting his passion for film.

Bagane Fiola
Festival Director
Bagane Fiola is a filmmaker from Mindanao, in southern Philippines. His second feature film Baboy Halas (Wailings in the Forest) was selected under the Bright Future non-competition section of the 47th International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2017. It won the NETPAC Jury Prize award during its World Premiere at the QCinema International Film Festival held in Manila Philippines in 2016. The film was given a Special Newcomer Award at the Internationales Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg in Germany in October 2017.

Festival Programmers

Maki Cabrera
Makiii is a filmmaker based in Davao City. He has been instrumental in curating thematic film programs for Pasalidahay like “Kagawasan – Stories and Struggles of Pride” and “Children of the Same Sun – Shorts about Peace and its Many Forms”. His first short film, Panabi (The Disturbed) was screened at NgAFFF and Mindanao Film Festival in 2017. His second short, (a)wake (2019), was selected for Binisaya Film Festival 2020 and Cinema Rehiyon 2021.

Anna Miguel Cervantes
Anna Miguel Cervantes (b. 1993, Cagayan de Oro) is a writer, filmmaker, and visual artist whose 14-year background in peace work around Mindanao, Southern Philippines has prompted her to view spaces as sites for intrusion and reconciliation. Her media-based works have screened in the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Cinema Rehiyon, Binisaya, and Chuncheon International Film Festival (KR), and artist-run spaces across the Philippines.

Andro Conde
Andro Conde is a filmmaker, video editor, and VFX artist based in Davao City. His directorial debut, “Kapit-os“ (2016), was showcased at the Popcom Ahyd Film Festival (2016) and Bangladesh Children’s Film Festival (2017). He has also worked as a colorist and VFX artist for “Beneath The Firefly Veil“ (Sinekabataan 2024).

Jay Rosas
Programming Adviser
Jay Rosas is a film programmer, writer, and filmmaker. He co-founded the Davao-based film collective Pasalidahay where his film programming work started, which now extends to regional film festivals in the Philippines. His writing has appeared in several film publications and platforms, most recently in Marg1n and eksentrika. Recently, he was part of the first cohort of the Singapore-based Arts Equator Fellowship, producing content about Philippine regional cinema. In 2019, he made his first film, the short documentary Budots: The Craze, which earned national acclaim. His professional experience spans 15 years in the field of communication, media, and knowledge management.

Rap Meting

Rap Meting is a seasoned photographer and videographer with 11 years of production experience, a founding member of Pasalidahay, and one of the original Ngilngig Filmmakers. As CEO of Timewrap Productions, Rap leads a passionate team dedicated to delivering awe-inspiring, purpose-driven content across diverse sectors, locally and internationally. Known for his artistic integrity, Rap’s work embodies a commitment to uncompromising quality and storytelling excellence. His work in Baboy Halas earned him the Best Artistic Contribution in Cinematography at the 2016 QCinema International Film Festival, marking a high standard that continues to drive Timewrap’s projects.

Yam Palma
Founding Member, Pasalidahay
Yam Palma is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Film and Audio-Visual Communication from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. As a humanitarian worker, she spends most of her time learning from the people in the community. She has worked as Assistant Director for several Mindanaoan filmmakers. She believes in the power of film as a medium for advocacy and has since worked with communities in Mindanao to document their plight and highlight the voices of women and children. She has conducted several video and photography workshops with children and youth from conflict areas in Mindanao. She is a co-convenor of Pasalidahay, a Davao-based collective of filmmakers and film enthusiasts, which showcases Filipino regional and independent works and aims to cultivate a film-going culture in Mindanao and the development of a critical audience.

Keisha Halili-Nacario

Keisha Therese D. Halili is a writer, director, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She has worked as a reporter for TV5 and PTV4 and in various communication posts for the House of Representatives and the Provincial Information Office of Davao del Norte. In 2016, she co-founded Micromedia Digital Video Productions, a video production company based in Davao City, with her partner, cinematographer McRobert P. Nacario. Apart from managing the company full-time and serving as its lead writer and director, she also produces short films and is an active member of the local film collective, Pasalidahay.

Coicoi Nacario

McRobert P. Nacario is a cinematographer based in Davao City. He started his career as a multi-media specialist for an Australian funded government project. He then went on to become a freelance videographer and editor for 10 years before co-founding Micromedia Digital Video Productions, a video production company based in Davao City, with his partner, Keisha Therese D. Halili. He has participated in 16 full-length films and 5 short films, mostly as a cinematographer. He was a Berlinale Talents in 2018 and has garnered several awards and recognitions, including 4 Gawad Urian nominations and Best Cinematography for Riddles of My Homecoming during the Cinema One Originals Film Festival in 2013. He is also an active member of the local film collective, Pasalidahay.
